Riley Counts
Riley is an aspiring architect with a strong interest in residential design and a lifelong passion for creating thoughtful spaces. His enthusiasm for architecture is rooted in curiosity, making, and an early fascination with how environments shape experience.
Riley’s interest in architecture began at a young age, inspired by beach houses on family vacations, early exposure to Greek and Roman history, and hands-on creativity through building with Legos and games like Minecraft. That passion led him to pursue a formal education in architecture at Kansas State University, where he earned his Master of Architecture degree in 2024.
During his academic career, Riley completed an extended internship in high-end residential architecture in Dallas, an experience that solidified his interest in residential design and the craft of building. He joins A. Michael Architecture eager to continue developing his skills within a collaborative, experienced team and to contribute to bringing clients’ visions to life.
Outside the studio, Riley enjoys spending time with his dog, Link, following sports, reading, watching movies, playing games, and exploring other creative interests, pursuits that reflect his curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm for learning.
