Andrew M Stiglmeier, AIA, RID

Andrew, the founder of A. Michael Architecture, is an architect guided by the belief that homes should be both deeply felt and carefully crafted. His work is rooted in classical architectural principles and shaped by a client-centered, collaborative approach that values clarity, care, and long-term performance.

Andrew’s path into architecture began early and was refined through his education at Texas Tech University and nearly a decade of professional experience in Dallas and Houston, including time at SHM Architects and Curtis & Windham Architects. Those formative years helped shape the process that defines AMA today—one built around listening, collaboration, and thoughtful execution.

Having lived in New York, Illinois, Colorado, Singapore, and Texas, Andrew brings a broad perspective to deeply contextual work. At AMA, that perspective is carried forward by the entire team, balancing tradition and innovation, design intention and technical rigor, to create homes that feel enduring and deeply personal.

Led by Partners Andrew and Derek, AMA is fundamentally a team-driven studio. Each project reflects a shared commitment to craft, integrity, and service—helping families create homes designed for comfort, connection, and a lifetime of living. Outside the studio, Andrew values time with his family and enjoys exploring interests in fitness, technology, sports, and cooking—pursuits that mirror his belief in balance, intention, and well-lived spaces.
