SUNDAY HOUSE

As long-time residents of University Park and with a family that is transitioning from a full house to an empty one, our client wanted to create a space that perfectly fits this new phase in their lives. After finding the ideal corner lot in East Dallas, all that was left to do was come up with a program designed around their new way of life. Inspired by a traditional Sunday House, we collaborated with our client to develop a home that balances easy upkeep, traditional materials, and contemporary design. At a modest 3,000 sq. ft., including a first floor made for entertaining, a study, an exercise room, an upstairs primary suite, and several second-level balconies, this home is the perfect place to kick back and relax. Add in a front and side yard as unique as the home, and you will be hard-pressed to find a space better suited to entertain friends and host the next generation of their family.
